The Spanish Exchange traded 40.9 billion euros in Equities in November

MONTHLY TRADING STATEMENTS FOR BME MARKETS

The Spanish Exchange traded 40.9 billion euros in Equities in November, down 11.1% year-on-year. The number of trades in November reached 3.7 million, 13% lower than in November 2017.

The Financial Derivatives marketreported a 2% year-on-year increasein IBEX 35 Futures in the first eleven months of the year. Trading in Futures on Stock Dividends increased 77.8% and IBEX Impacto Dividendo Futures grew 58.9%. The trading volume in Stock Futures in November soared 146.5% year-on-year. The open interest in Stock Futures and Stock Options increased by 4.4% and 6.6% respectively and it grew by 6.1% for IBEX 35 Options.

In Fixed Income, the volume traded in November increased by 36.2% compared to the same period last year, due to the trading of domestic and foreign Public Debt assets. The year-on-year increase for the first eleven months of the year was 45.5%. The volume of new issues admitted to trading on MARF in November reached 520 million euros, which represents a 61.5% increase year-on-year. The accumulated trading volume at the end of the first eleven months of the year totaled 5.6 billion euros, a year-on-year increase of 51.1%. The outstanding balance in this market reaches 3.4 billion euros (+ 36.6%).
